Lizzy Waronker is a visual artist and metaphysical investigator whose work explores consciousness, perception, and the unseen. Her practice moves between art, altered states, shamanism, mediumship, and anomalous experience, with a particular interest in what can be learned through direct observation and experience.
For more than a decade, Lizzy has worked professionally with thousands of individuals, developing an extensive body of firsthand experience with intuition, altered states, imagery, and non-ordinary perception. She has received advanced shamanic training and initiation through the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, studied mediumship at Arthur Findlay College in the UK, and trained in Soul Retrieval, psychopomp work, and the Harner Shamanic Counseling method. She holds a BA in anthropology from Macalester College. In the early 1990s, while working as a curatorial assistant at the Science Museum of Minnesota, she participated in the repatriation of sacred artifacts to the Lakota people.
This work continues to inform her broader investigation into consciousness and the ways meaning and information emerge through direct experience.
Lizzy’s artwork has been exhibited throughout Los Angeles and is held in private collections. She is the author and illustrator of In The Soup.
